Vanessa Solis has been with Education Week since 2003. As Associate Design Director, she collaborates with editors, illustrators, and cross-departmental teams to craft compelling visual journalism that amplifies the organization’s mission and enhances reader engagement. Her art direction has been recognized in Communication Arts Illustration Annual, Spectrum, and 3x3. Vanessa has a Bachelors of Fine Art in Illustration from the Maryland Institute College of Art.
