In the classroom, learning to use technology responsibly is a regular part of the curriculum from an early age. It’s important to teach students a framework for judging what is and isn’t safe—as well as the impact of their digital decisions.

Here, Damian Furmanchin, a digital literacy teacher in Philadelphia, explains how he approaches teaching the topic in elementary school.
