Students who regularly cut classes and skip school say their parents are largely unaware they are cutting class, according to a report from the Get Schooled Foundation.

Those students also don’t believe that their lower-than-average attendance will create any barriers to their eventual goals of graduating high school, attending college, or getting a job. But students who miss more than 10 days of school are more than 20 percent less likely than their peers to graduate from high school and are 25 percent less likely to ever enroll in college.
