One-to-one technology programs may boostmath scores over time, finds a new study in the Educational Evaluation and Policy Analysis journal.

Using North Carolina school data from 2005 to 2013, the study found math performance increased significantly in both the short and long term after implementation of a laptop program in the Mooresville Graded school district in 2009, compared to both the district before the laptop program and to neighboring school districts without 1-to-1 programs. Reading performance was mixed. Students did not spend more time on homework, but they did spend more homework time using a computer.
