- Teacher-Researchers at Work, a book published in 1999 by the National Writing Project in Berkeley, Calif. The editors are Marion S. MacLean and Marian M. Mohr, both of whom helped found the teacher-research network in Fairfax County, Va.
- “The Teacher Research Movement: A Decade Later,” an article published in the journal Educational Researcher in October 1999. The authors are Marilyn Cochran-Smith and Susan L. Lytle. Cochran-Smith and Lytle also wrote Inside/Outside: Teacher Research and Knowledge, a 1993 book published by Teachers College Press. The two, both university-based researchers, also edit a series of books on practitioner inquiry for the same publisher.
- “Beyond the Divide of Teacher Research and Academic Research,” by Kenneth M. Zeichner, published in 1995 in the journal Teachers and Teaching.
- A comprehensive Web site focusing on teachers’ research efforts in northern Virginia can be found at http://gse.gmu.edu/research/tr.
- Another Web site, this one maintained by teacher-researchers in Madison, Wis., can be found at www.madison.k12.wi.us/sod/car.
