Changes at Teacher Magazine

Important changes are afoot at Teacher, and we want to make sure that you are in the loop.

Editorial Projects in Education, the nonprofit publisher of Teacher, Education Week, and edweek.org, will launch a new Web site for teacher-leaders this fall. The site will present content for and about teachers from Education Week, edweek.org, the EPE Research Center, and Agent K-12—EPE’s popular online job site for teachers and administrators.

The site—and a companion print series focusing on key professional issues for teacher-leaders—will provide valuable resources, insight, and information on teaching, and it will help connect teachers from across the country in a new professional network devoted to collaboration among teacher-leaders.

To help make way for the new Web site, EPE will discontinue publication of the award-winning Teacher Magazine, effective immediately. The May/June 2007 issue of Teacher will be the final issue. (Subscribers will receive copies of Education Week to fill out their subscription terms.)

In the meantime, the current Teacher channel on edweek.org will continue without interruption and will be updated and expanded when the new Web site is launched this fall.

An EPE press release detailing more information about the announcement and plans for the new Web site is available here.
