An Elementary School Principal Looks Back on the Pandemic Year

For Heather Paddock, an elementary school principal in Everett, Wash., the past year has been unlike anything she ever thought she’d experience. Here she talks about her final memory as students left last March, what it’s been like to welcome some students back this spring, and how she’s addressed all the challenges that came up in between.
