Five children were killed in three separate accidents, and six others were injured in the past two weeks in bus-stop incidents.
In Indiana, 6-year-old twin brothers Xzavier and Mason Ingle died as they were about to board their bus, as did their older sister Alivia Stahl, who was 9. The following day, 9-year-old Dalen Thomas was fatally struck by a truck in Mississippi while heading toward the bus. Those incidents were followed by the death of a 7-year-old Pennsylvania boy, who was fatally struck by a hit-and-run driver while waiting for his bus.
Five children and two adults were struck by a car at a school bus stop in Tampa, Fla. And a kindergartner in Tallahassee, Fla., was injured as he crossed the street to board his bus.
