State lawmakers are considering a bill mandating that all school elections in Delaware be done by mail.
The bill was introduced after some lawmakers received complaints last year about a successful school district tax referendum. The complaints included allegations of duplicate voting and concerns that the balloting coincided with “family-fun nights” at schools serving as voting precincts.
Supporters of the bill say it would help eliminate the potential for improper electioneering and increase voter participation.
