Galen W. Johnson is the new assistant vice president for ACT Inc.’s Midwest region, which covers Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Ohio, West Virginia, and Wisconsin.
Mr. Johnson, 57, previously served as the chief educational officer for the Evanston, Ill.-based Midwest region of the New York City-based College Board.
The Iowa City, Iowa-based ACT is a nonprofit organization that designs and develops the annual ACT college-admissions test, which was taken by 1.2 million members of the 2004 high school graduating class.
