The Toshiba/National Science Teachers Association ExploraVision Awards Program named their 2009 National and Regional Winners, recognizing students’ creative ideas for beneficial future technologies.

The ExploraVision program, sponsored by Toshiba and administered by the NSTA, is a science and technology competition. This year, 4,388 teams from the United States and Canada, or 13,774 students, entered their ideas to make the world a better, safer, and more environmentally-friendly place.

Students on first-place teams in the National category each receive a $10,000 savings bond, while second-place national winners receive a $5,000 savings bond. All national winners receive an expenses-paid trip with their families and coach to Washington for the awards ceremony.

Regional winners receive a Toshiba notebook computer for their school and a special gift.

A list of winning teams is available here.
