Bill McDermott is the new vice chairman of the Business Roundtable’s Education and the Workforce Task Force.

Mr. McDermott is the president and chief executive officer of the Newton Square, Pa.-based SAP America Inc., a business-software company.

The Washington-based Business Roundtable’s task force promotes standards-based education efforts in the states.
