Barbara M. Hunter was recently appointed the director of communications for the National School Boards Association.

Barbara M. Hunter

Ms. Hunter, 45, served as the executive director of information and outreach for the 11,000-student Alexandria city schools in Virginia. She had also worked as the editor for The School Administrator, a magazine published by the Arlington, Va.-based American Association of School Administrators.

The Alexandria, Va.-based NSBA is a federation of state associations of school boards that provides information and services to local board members nationwide.
