Barbara A. Marcus

Barbara A. Marcus, the president of children’s book publishing and distribution at Scholastic Inc., will be leaving the company this summer. She has worked at New York City-based Scholastic for 22 years.

Ms. Marcus, 53, currently oversees the company’s trade publishing and book fairs. She will be succeeded by Lisa Holton, 43, the publisher of Global Disney Children’s Books, also in New York.

Scholastic is one of the world’s largest publishers and distributors of children’s books.
