The Education Writers Association last week announced plans to hold briefings for reporters with the 2008 presidential candidates on education issues. The 900-member journalists’ group, based in Washington, said the sessions would be scheduled from now through the beginning of the party primaries next January. No exact dates have been scheduled, and the group didn’t say how many of the candidates had agreed to participate.
