The U.S. Department of Education has hired a staffer for Rep. Jeb Hensarling, R-Texas, to serve as its press secretary, the department announced Monday.

Liz Hill worked as the communications director for Hensarling starting in 2016, and also previously worked for Rep. Luke Messer, R-Ind., from 2013 to 2016. She previously worked as a television news reporter from 2005 to 2013.

Hill is the latest addition to the department which Secretary Betsy DeVos is still fleshing out. Last week, the Trump administration announced a new assistant secretary for management, and earlier this month several other prominent hires in charge of civil rights and other education issues were publicized by the department.
