PTA Gets New President

Former Tennessee PTA President Betsy Landers, who helped devise the states Parent Involvement Act, takes over as president of the National PTA this week. Ms. Landers, who is from Memphis, follows the PTA’s first male president, Charles J. Saylors, who served a two-year term.
