A 2026 Gather survey of over a hundred superintendents across seven states found that 65% of districts are missing mandated IEP minutes, and nearly 50% are spending 40 or more hours a month managing the fallout.

Provider vacancies in special education aren’t just a staffing problem — they’re a student problem, and right now they’re top of mind for districts across the country.

When a role goes unfilled, IEP-related services slip, staff absorb responsibilities that aren’t theirs, and the students who depend on consistent support suffer. The burden is real — but so are the solutions.

In this webinar, a district leader will share:

  • What stable IEP-related service delivery amid provider shortages looks like
  • Examples of what’s worked and what hasn’t
  • Ways their district is supporting students that you can bring to your own district
