A Pennsylvania high school boys’ basketball head coach has been placed on administrative leave following an incident in which video appears to show him chest-bumping a referee during a game last week.
Jerry Devine of Neshaminy High School was ejected immediately from the game after the incident occurred in the waning seconds of his team’s loss, according to local media.
The coach is also a history and algebra teacher at the school. He will remain on leave from both his teaching and coaching duties, the Neshaminy district said, pending a review of the incident.
