Keeping schools fully staffed with qualified teachers and other education professionals is a major challenge for many district and school leaders.

The EdWeek Research Center’s annual survey of K-12 job seekers and recruiters provides school district HR professionals and administrators with a detailed look at the factors influencing K-12 hiring and retention. This year’s survey results examine the most and least effective strategies that school districts are using to bring new talent into classrooms and administrative roles.

Join us to:

  • See the results of our nationwide survey of K-12 job seekers and HR professionals on a range of issues, including teacher shortages, recruiting strategies, and the latest on how AI tools are shaping recruitment.
  • Learn how external factors – from political/cultural divides in districts to the mental health supports school systems provide to students and staff – influence how job seekers perceive job opportunities.
  • Understand which factors during the application and interview process make working in a district or school appealing or unappealing.
  • Hear an analysis of the survey results from an experienced teacher and administrator.
  • Get ideas to support your district’s recruitment and retention in 2026 and beyond.
