William F. Tate has been elected the president-elect of the American Educational Research Association, a 25,000-member professional society based in Washington. Mr. Tate, 44, is a math and science education researcher at Washington University in St. Louis. He’ll serve in that position for a year and then move up to the presidency in April 2007.
