A former account clerk has been charged with stealing $307,193 from the Roslyn Union Free School District, the third employee of the district on New York’s Long Island to face theft charges.

Debra Rigano allegedly drew school district checks for the payment of personal expenses on three credit-card accounts without approval from 2000 to 2002, according to an Oct. 18 statement from Denis Dillon, the district attorney in Nassau County, N.Y.

Among other transactions, Ms. Rigano used the money to pay for a Las Vegas hotel room, airline tickets to Miami and Atlanta, and payments to an electrical-appliance-repair company, it claims.

The 3,300-student district is the focus of an investigation into a suspected embezzlement scheme. The former superintendent, Frank A. Tassone, was charged with grand larceny in July for allegedly stealing more than $1 million from the system. Pamela C. Gluckin, a former assistant superintendent for business, has also been charged with stealing more than $1 million. Ms. Rigano, who has been charged with grand larceny, is a niece of Ms. Gluckin. All three have pleaded not guilty.
