States With Preschool Standards

Thirty-nine states have crafted or are developing learning standards for preschool-age children, according to the first-ever report to follow this trend.

NOTE: This list reflects the status of states at the time interviews were conducted between November 2001 and May 2002. The status of some states may have changed since then.
