Rev. Joseph M. O’Keefe

The Rev. Joseph M. O’Keefe is the new dean of Boston College’s Carolyn A. and Peter S. Lynch school of education.

Father O’Keefe, 50, has been the school’s interim dean for the past two years and an associate dean since 2001. A Jesuit priest, he also co-directs Selected Programs for Improving Catholic Education, an initiative cosponsored by Boston College and the Washington-based National Catholic Educational Association.

Located in Chestnut Hill, Mass., the education school has 800 undergraduates and 1,000 graduate students.
