Following a complaint by a White House employee, Montgomery County, Md., school officials temporarily removed posters used in a high-school social-studies class that were critical of President Reagan.
A spokesman for the suburban Washington county said Katja Bullock, who works in the White House personnel office, identified herself as a White House employee when she called County Executive Sidney Kramer to complain about the posters at Springbrook High School.
Ms. Bullock said the White House had received 29 telephone calls criticizing the posters, which advertised a rally to protest American aid to the Nicaraguan rebels and called for Mr. Reagan’s impeachment.
But a White House spokesman said Ms. Bullock filed the complaint as a county resident and not as a White House employee.
A spokesman at the school said that, after determining that the posters were a legitimate instructional tool, officials had reinstated them on the current-affairs bulletin board less than 24 hours after their removal.
