Patricia F. Sullivan resigned this month as a deputy executive director of the Council of Chief State School Officers. She was in charge of the advocacy and strategic-alliances division.
Ms. Sullivan, 43, has returned to her private company, Sullivan Consulting Services, in Arlington, Va., but will remain with the council as a consultant through the end of the year.
In her consulting position with the CCSSO, she is responsible for coordinating the activities of states’ federal legislative representatives on education issues and assisting the council in determining what it would like to see Congress accomplish.
The Washington-based Council of Chief State School Officers is a national network of top state officials responsible for elementary and secondary education.
