To the Editor:
I read with interest Mark R. Warner’s Commentary “Demanding More of Our High Schools” (Nov. 17, 2004).
Interesting that Mr. Warner, the governor of Virginia and the current chairman of the National Governors Association, has recruited Bob Taft, the governor of Ohio, for his education initiative. Gov. Taft heads a majority party that has defied the rule of law in the form of several court decisions finding the Ohio system of school funding unconstitutional and directing the Republican legislature to amend it.
Great role models!
