Beginning with the first issue of the 2001-2002 publishing year (September 5), we will be posting the latest edition of Education Week at 6:00 p.m. EST, on Tuesday evenings. This change will help us better align our print and Web production schedules. We will continue to publish the complete contents of Education Week and Teacher Magazine, free of charge, on the Web.

The Education Week on the Web team spent the summer spiffing up many sections of the Web site. You’ll notice new designs for the State Info Pages, the Archives Search page, Organization Links and the Glossary pages. You’ll also find new and fully updated Hot Topics.

We are also launching two new, free e-newsletters this fall: the Teacher Recruiter, for school administrators looking for fresh new ideas and the latest news on recruiting, and the Career Coach, aimed at teachers interested in increasing their value, furthering their career development, and staying on top of the latest hiring practices. We will also continue to publish the Ed Week Update (our free e-newsletter with links to top Education Week stories and top stories from The Daily News); it will now be mailed on Wednesday mornings.

Thank you for your loyalty to Education Week on the Web. We hope you continue to enjoy all our features and that you’ll write us with feedback—both positive and negative!
