Following is a summary of bills of interest to those in elementary and secondary education introduced in Congress. Copies of bills may be obtained from Senators (Washington 20510) or Representatives (Washington 20515).

HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES

HR 4990--Athletics. A bill to amend the Internal Revenue Code of 1954 to clarify the status of amateur athletic organizations. By Representative Vander Jagt (R-Mich.).

HR 5018--Parental kidnaping. A bill to amend title 18 of the U.S. Code to prohibit, under certain circumstances, the transportation or detention of children by their noncustodial parents. By Representative Edwards (R-Okla.).

HR 5019--Parental kidnaping. A bill to amend the Parental Kidnaping Prevention Act of 1980 to clarify the intent of Congress when it wrote section 1073 of title 18 of the United States Code, which concerns parental kidnaping. By Representative Hughes (D-N.J.) and five others.

HR 5039--Minimum wage. A bill to amend the Fair Labor Standards Act of 1938 to allow employers to hire full-time students and youths under the age of 19 at a special minimum wage. By Representative Erlenborn (R-Ill.).

HR 5049--Missing children. A bill to amend title 28 of the U.S. Code to authorize the Attorney General to help officials identify deceased individuals and locate missing children. By Representative LaFalce (D-N.Y.).

HR 5059--Senior citizens. A bill to amend the Internal Revenue Code of 1964 to allow an income-tax credit for persons 65 years old or older who are eligible for social security benefits, but who do not retire. By Representative Wright (D-Tex.) and 25 others.

HR 5070--Missing children. A bill to amend title 28 of the U.S. Code to authorize the Attorney General to help officials identify deceased individuals and locate missing children. By Representative Fascell (D-Fla.).

HR 5098--Employment discrimination. A bill to amend Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 to prohibit employment discrimination on the basis of political preference. By Representative Gilman (R-N.Y.).

HR 5104--Missing children. A bill to amend Title 28 of the U.S. Code to authorize the Attorney General to help officials identify deceased individuals and locate missing children. By Representative Railsback (R-Ill.).
