Highlights
- Legislature approved a measure establishing a right to safe schools and giving schools the authority to exclude disruptive students from the classroom.
- Lawmakers approved a bill to provide reimbursement for early and periodic screening, diagnosis, and treatment services through local agencies to children eligible for medical assistance.
Also passed several bills authorizing towns to issue bonds and notes in order to finance school improvements and close gaps in school budgets.
