James W. Guthrie is the new president of the American Education Finance Association.
Mr. Guthrie, 68, will serve as the Denver-based organization’s president for one year. He is a professor of public policy and education at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tenn., and the director of the university’s Peabody Center for Education Policy.
The AEFA is a network of 500 professors, researchers, policymakers, and educators that promotes the exchange of information about school finance.
