Looking to boost the number of states and districts with academic-acceleration options for gifted students, three national groups have published a new brief with practical recommendations for developing school policies that speed up the curricular pace for academically advanced students.
The recommendations come from the Institute for Research and Policy on Acceleration at the University of Iowa, Iowa City; the National Association for Gifted Children in Washington; and the Council of State Directors of Programs for the Gifted in Des Moines, Iowa.
