Wayne Kruse, a former president of the Lawrence Education Association in Lawrence, Kan., pleaded guilty last week to felony theft and forgery for stealing nearly $100,000 from the National Education Association affiliate. Mr. Kruse is scheduled to be sentenced Oct. 3.
