The Consortium for School Networking, or CoSN, is hosting a webinar next week to outline its newly revised Framework of Essential Skills for district technology leaders, the first update since this version released several years ago.

The 60-minute webinar will be interactive and will highlight what district technology leaders and chief technology officers need to know to meet their education technology goals. It will include insights from leading CTOs who helped to reshape the framework to make more effective use of technology in the classroom. Audience members will be able to submit text questions.

The presenters will include Ed Zaiontz, executive director of information services in the Round Rock, Texas, district; L.C. Evans and Bailey Mitchell, superintendent and chief technology and information officer, respectively, of the Forsyth County, Ga., school district; Jean Tower, director of technology for public schools in Northborough and Southborough, Mass.; Oz Galarza, director of technology services in the San Juan Unified district in California; and Dan Maas, chief information officer in the Littleton , Colo., schools.

You can register for the event, which will run Tuesday, Dec. 1, from 1-2 p.m. Eastern time, here, or contact Sharon Butler at sharonb@cosn.org.
