Regulatory Agenda

The Department of Education has published its regulatory agenda for the following six months, which includes rules on collaboration in vocational-education programs, Title I guidance, and efforts to reduce paperwork. The notice appeared in the Nov. 28 Federal Register.

Final Rules

The Department of Education has published final regulations making multiple changes to student-loan rules, designed to cut paperwork and to apply similar standards to direct loans and guaranteed loans. The notice appeared in the Dec. 1 Federal Register; the rules take effect July 1, 1996.
