Barry Topol is the new chief financial officer of Harcourt Assessment Inc.
Mr. Topol, 48, most recently served as the chief financial officer of the Altierre Corp., a Los Gatos, Calif.-based semiconductor and software company. He also has been the director of financial control and administration for TRW Appraisal Services, a division of the defense, automotive, and information-services company TRW Inc.
Harcourt Assessment, based in San Antonio, produces tests and other assessment instruments for schools.
