Auditors Sued

The Roslyn, N.Y., school district has sued the auditing firm Miller, Lilly & Pearce for $12 million, seeking to recover money the district lost in an embezzlement scandal involving former administrators. The district claims that the firm failed to provide adequate safeguards to protect the district’s finance system. The company has declined to comment.
