Richard S. Jones Jr., interim headmaster of St. Michael’s School, Stuart, Fla., to headmaster.

Robert G. Peters, director of Smith College Campus School, Northampton, Mass., to head of the Hanahauoli School, Honolulu, effective July 1, 1982.

Richardson W. Schell, chaplain and chairman of the theology department at Kent School, Kent, Conn., to headmaster and rector.

In the States

Donald Herren, minister of Southern Hills Methodist Church, Lexington, Ky., has been appointed to the Kentucky state board of education.

Cathy R. Quinn, career counselor at Southern Baptist College, Walnut Ridge, Ark., to supervisor of career education of the Arkansas Department of Education.

Shirley S. Stancil, associate director for personnel administration in the general division of the Arkansas Department of Education, also to coordinator of the office of rural services.

In the Associations

William J. Liebertz III, executive assistant to the superintendent of public schools in Salem, Ore., has been elected president-elect of the National Community Education Association.

W. Frank Masters, negotiation specialist for the National Education Association, to director of research.

Joe T. Teeter, internal management supervisor for the Arkansas Department of Education, has been elected president of the Arkansas Association of School Business Officials.

Miscellaneous

Alan H. Jones, chief of the office of planning and governmental relations for the commission for teacher preparation and licensing in California, to managing editor of The Education Digest, Ann Arbor, Mich.
