Patricia Deklotz, the superintendent of the Kettle Moraine School District in Wales, Wis., instills a culture of personalized learning for students and educators. Students can choose how and what they learn within the state’s standards, and teachers can create their own microcredentials to advance their careers. “It’s important for me to show there are hard numbers behind the work we do with personalized learning, that we aren’t doing it just because we think it’s right,” Deklotz says. This video was produced as part of Education Week’s Leaders To Learn From project, recognizing outstanding school district leaders from around the country. More at http://leaders.edweek.org
