The National Center for Learning Disabilities and Understood.org surveyed a nationally representative sample of 1,350 teachers and held teacher focus groups in three states. Half of general education teachers believed students with disabilities can reach grade-level standards, it found. More than 1 in 3 said they’d had no professional development on serving the students with disabilities in their classrooms.
