The May 1 deadline to commit to a college this fall has come and gone. But many admissions counselors want you to know their doors are still open.
The National Association for College Admission Counseling, based in Arlington, Va., today released the results of its Space Availability Survey for four-year colleges and universities. Click here, for the list of colleges that still have room for more students in fall 2012. The list is designed to be helpful to students who have not yet completed the admissions process.
The list, which NACAC coordinates just after the May 1 student-acceptance deadline, shows available freshman and transfer openings. It also shows what colleges have additional housing and financial aid. The survey shows space available at 375 institutions, 30 percent are public colleges and 70 percent are private. There is housing space at 94 percent of the schools.
As openings change, NACAC will update the survey results on its website through June 29.
