The delays and disruptions that plagued Florida’s online writing tests were partly caused by cyberattacks on its systems, the state schools chief says.
Commissioner of Education Pam Stewart said that the state’s law-enforcement department will begin an investigation aimed at identifying the origin of the attacks.
Several districts reported problems this month with students and administrators not being able to log in to statewide online writing exams—or getting kicked out of the system before tests were complete.
