The New Media Consortium finds similar and evolving European and American views about how teachers should be presenting and delivering content in the digital age, across the 28 member nations of the European Commission, the executive body of the European Union.
Open educational resources are gaining traction, as is the use of data to drive instructional policy. An increasingly accessible and omnipresent Internet also means teachers “are no longer the primary sources of information and knowledge for students,” the report finds.
