Sign of the times: In an effort to offset budget cuts, a Massachusetts district is planning to put ads in school notices and letters sent home to parents.
“We’re not the only ones in this boat,” observes one of the district’s committee members. “It’s a stretch, but everybody is looking for some extra money. I see this going over quite well.” (Somehow those sound like famous last words, don’t they?)
