Charter Authorizers Targeted

The California Charter Schools Association has written a legislative proposal that would punish negligent charter school authorizers by taking away their privileges to grant charters. The move follows a state audit of the California Charter Academy, which closed last summer after numerous violations of state charter school laws. The CCSA’s plan has not been introduced as legislation.
