More than half of parents and teachers believe that schools are not adequately preparing students for today’s jobs, concludes a survey by Project Tomorrow.

The Irvine, Calif.-based nonprofit education organization also found that engaging in real-world problem-solving, talking to professionals, and visiting places where science is used were the top ways students wanted to learn about science. The study surveyed 270,000 students, parents, and teachers nationwide.
