Private schools that participate in voucher programs are less segregated than public schools, suggests a report that examines schools in Cleveland, Milwaukee, and Washington.
The report—conducted by the Milton and Rose D. Friedman Foundation, an Indianapolis-based organization that supports school voucher programs—also cites research that compares public and private schools in general, finding that private schools are actually less segregated than public schools on the classroom level.
