Jhone Ebert has been named state schools chief for Nevada.

Jhone Ebert

Ebert has served as senior deputy commissioner for the New York state education department since 2015. Before that, she spent 25 years in the Clark County district in Nevada, rising from a math teacher to the chief innovation and productivity officer and chief technology officer.

Angelica Infante-Green is Rhode Island’s new state education commissioner.

Angelica Infante-Green

She was the deputy commissioner of the New York state education department’s office of instructional support. Infante-Green started out as a teacher. She also served as the executive director of New York City’s English-learners office.

Shaun Harper

Shaun Harper, a provost professor in both the education and business schools at the University of Southern California, has been voted president-elect of the American Educational Research Association. His major research focus is racial and gender equity in K-12 schools, colleges and universities, and corporate contexts.
