Randy Watson, the superintendent of the McPherson Unified School District 418 in Kansas, has been named the state’s new education commissioner.
McPherson’s superintendent since 1993, he previously worked as a teacher and a principal, and was selected as a finalist for Kansas Superintendent of the Year for 2015.
