Theodore R. Mitchell will step down as the president of Occidental College to become the chief executive officer of the NewSchools Venture Fund in September. He will replace Kim Williams, the organization’s co-founder, who will take a full-time position as the executive chairwoman of NewSchools’ board of directors.
